The Alumni Association conducts various programmes for the welfare of the students, organizes meetings to highlight issues of national and contemporary importance and collaborates with the college for outreach programmes. A glimpse of the activities of the Association since formation are given below:

9th February 2002 -  Formation of the Association

The Association activities were formally inaugurated on 9th February 2002 by Dr. D. Babu Paul IAS. He exhorted the members on the significance of such an association not only to share memories but to stand together and do our bit for the well-being of the Alma Mater.The then Principal, Rev. Dr. Thomas Periyapuram welcomed the gathering.
Rev. Dr. John Vallamattam, former Principal delivered the keynote address. Sri. Johny Nelloor MLA and Sri. T.K. Ramakrishnan felicitated. Prof. Josekutty J. Ozhukayil proposed the vote of thanks. 
23rd March 2002 – First Batch Gathering

The meeting of the first batch of Nirmala was indeed an affair to remember. The first batch students of PDC and undergraduate Courses had a get-together on March 24, 2002 at the college auditorium. The old guards were welcomed by the then Principal Rev. Dr. Thomas Periappuram, while the meeting was inaugurated by our beloved manager. Msgr. Thomas Malekudy, himself an alumnus of Nirmala. The old guards reminisced on the sweet old days and exchanged pleasantries with their much respected former professors. more

10th August 2002, Get-together of Nirmalites upto the year 1965

August 10, 2002  was yet another day when the Nirmalites got together and what followed was joyous scenes of exultation and euphoria. The guest of honour was a celebrated alumnus - Dr. George Onakkoor, a luminous star in the literary horizon of Kerala. The valedictory address was given by yet another renowned alumnus Sri. Vaishakhan who made a thought-provoking speech which contained a lot of anecdots and memorable stories.

10th November 2002 – Reunion of Alumni from 1966 to 2001.

Yet another lovely reunion was held on November 10, 2002 and the old students from 1996 – 2001 shared the memories of yore. Rev. Dr. George Thanathuparambil, Principal made the introductory speech while distinguished alumnus Smt. K.N.K. Karthyayani he chief post master general, Kerala made the keynote address. Shri. Johny Nelloor , the distinguished alumnus made the valedictory address.

19th January 2003 – The Mega Alumni Day

The activities of the Association during the Jubilee year found culmination in the Great Mega Alumni Meet on 19th January 2003. The function got off to a start with a thanks giving mass offered by Mar Emmanuel Pothanamuzhi, the Bishop of Mananthavady . The meeting was inaugurated by Principal Rev. George Thanathuparambil. It was efficiently compered by Prof. George James, the former Principal. The jubilee batch, the first rank holders and the eminent alumni were felicitated and adorned with ‘ponnada’. The guest of honour was the literary luminary and the Jnanapeedom award winner Shri. M. T. Vasudevan Nair. The art show which followed was a treat to the audience.

28th August 2003 – Meet a Prominent Alumnus Programme

With a view to getting acquainted with the prominent alumni of the College, a programme called 'Meet a Prominent Alumnus' was arranged for the students.
Sri. K. Narayana Kurup, Hon'ble Justice (Retd.) delivered a lecture on his 'Landmark judgements' in this series on August 28th 2003. Mr. T. K. Ramakrishnan, President of the Association presided over the function.


30th November 2003 – Free Eye Testing and Cataract Surgery Camp
Under the auspices of the NSS a free eye testing and Cataract Surgery Camp was conducted on 30th November in collaboration with the Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore. It was a mega community service programme of the NSS in which nearly 2000 patients turned up for  eye screening. Mr. T. K. Ramakrishnan, President, Alumni Association and members of the Alumni Association extended wholehearted support.
28th March 2004 – Alumni Day 2004
Alumni Day was celebrated on 28th March 2004. Hon'ble Justice M. Ramachandran of the High Court of Kerala was the Guest of Honour. After teh inaugural session there was a session to share the pleasantries by the members.




12th June 2005 - Alumni Day 2005
Twelth June, 2005 was indeed a day to remember. It was the College Alumni Day which brightened up the hearts of the old guards. They met and laughed and shared the nostalgia with much relish.
Hon. Justice C. N. Ramachandran Nair of the Kerala High Court was the Guest of Honour. The Justice enlightened the

gathering on the all important nature of the Constitution and its watch dog the Judiciary. He emphasized that Justice delayed was Justice denied and added that Justice denied was Justice buried.

Sri. Baby Mathew Somatheeram, the Managing Director of Jeevan T. V. was the 'prominent alumnus' of the day. He in his speech laid emphasis on hardwork, devotion and commitment. He was of the opinion that by strong dedication, will and commitment one could reach greater heights of glory. The young and enterprising entrepreneur gratefully remembered his Alma Mater and the useful training he received from the renowned professors of Nirmala College.

Sri. V. Philip Varghese (UAE Chapter), M.N. Satish (Bahrain Chapter), Jacob Mittathani (German Chapter) were also spoke on the occasion. The meeting was also addressed by M/s Jose & Job Pottas, Dr. George Thomas - Central Atomic Commission. Dr. Thomas Mathew (Meriland Univ. USA) was the moderator. 

Later the alumni had a lively session of sharing the good old memories. All seemed relieving and rebuilding a bygone era and enjoyed themselves to the full.

Wilson Kurisingal, the upcoming violinist entertained the gathering with a soulful tune which was indeed scintillating.
